Hello! My name is Grace and I have been a nurse for 2 years. I have been in a mixed ICU straight out of school, my favorite patient to take care of is either a CRRT or an Imeplla patient. While in nursing school I also did a nursing internship in critical care as well. I have my CCRN and plan on studying for more certifications in the future. This summer I will be precepting a nursing student during their internship which I am super excited about! I plan on applying to many schools in the Midwest this year. I love the “saved schools” feature and looking through all of the CRNA schools to choose from. I took three sciences courses to boost my GPA last semester and plan on taking a graduate-level Pathophysiology class this fall as well. In my free time, I love baking sourdough bread, reading books, and hanging out with my golden retriever, Leni.

    Hello everyone!!

My name is Ryan (“Ryan the girl” is what I always say!) I’ve been a CVICU RN in the Atlanta area for almost 3 years now and I am so excited to meet you all and share this journey with you! I have started applying and gotten 2 no’s so far. I had some hiccups in my 1st bachelors degree (Communications) which affected my cumulative GPA, but my nursing and science GPAs are both pretty good! With that being said some goals I am beginning to work toward to boost my submissions are taking the GRE, attaining my CSC, and taking a grad statistics and/or patho course. One thing I am loving about the new platform is the sense of community we will get with the message boards. If anyone else has received a no thus far I just wanted to share that you’re not alone and we can do this!!! It wasn’t the best feeling to read that email BUT being able to converse with people working toward the same goal and being able to share the wins as people are accepted is definitely a morale booster and a kick in the butt to keep working toward becoming the best CRNAs we can!!

Ps – The new features/updates to the school database are amazing and I cannot thank you enough for creating this platform for us!

Hello all! My name is Sapphire. I am a surgery nurse wanting to become a CRNA! I am so excited for this space. I have an interview for the ICU next week so that’s when I will start my transition. I’ve been in the OR for 4 years and have met some amazing CRNA’s along the way and just decided December 2024 that I will become a CRNA ????

Hello, everyone! My name is Christine, and I’m a pre-nursing student. I will be graduating with a BS in Health and Wellbeing Sciences from the University of Minnesota this spring and will attend nursing school in the fall. I’ve been accepted to Emory University (Master of Nursing Pre-Licensure Program) and am still waiting to hear back from University of Minnesota (Master of Nursing). I’m the treasurer of Interprofessional Pre-Health Students (IPPHS) and learning assistant for general chemistry. I’m also involved with peer mentoring, volunteering (in MICU and perioperative services), and research. One of the perks of volunteering in periop is the opportunity to shadow, so I’ve been really fortunate to shadow a variety of CRNAs and cases over the past year.

I plan to apply in 2028-2029, and I’m currently retaking organic chemistry. One thing I am excited about is meeting the U of M’s program director at our upcoming IPPHS student organization meeting. In regards to the new platform, I love the ability to save multiple programs and connect with others.

Thank you to Sachi and the CRNA Club team for your hard work in developing this new platform–we greatly appreciate your efforts! Good luck to everyone applying to CRNA school!

Hi everyone my name is Lidia and I am a new grad nurse in the cardiothoracic unit. I’m glad to have joined this group and I’m excited to gain insight from all of you! My current goal is to complete my residency and apply to transition into the ICU (fingers crossed). I wanted to get into the ICU right after graduation, but hospitals here do not offer ICU as part of the new grad residency programs. So, I’m not applying to CRNA for a long time from today but I’m hoping that when I do I will be fully prepared with the required prerequisites and certifications! With that being said I can’t wait to see the new prerequisite feature!

I am Shana Dagny, I am applying to several schools at the moment with RFU and Rush being my main contenders as I live in Chicago – but now more open to expanding that horizon. I both love and get stressed with this journey and process as it’s character-building and fulfilling and requires a lot of energy. Love and support Sachi and this club with all my heart. I used to/ I guess still am a professional actress as well as a CVICU nurse and I’m an ice swimmer. I have a knack for connecting people and I love to laugh. I’ve been in nursing for close to 20 years and very recently had this calling for CRNA. The people in this club are fantastic I’ve met a few during the AANA conference and it is such a blast to be part of a team when going for your dreams.

My name is Hannah and I’m currently a CTICU nurse in North Carolina. I am a second-degree nurse, so I’ve been a nurse for about 4 years. My Peace Corps service in Senegal, West Africa heavily influenced my decision to go into nursing so I try to use that as a fun fact about me with patients. I’ve applied this last cycle and received two wait lists so I’m just trying to find the right combo to push me over to the yes category. You’ll catch me hanging out with my partner, walking my dog, or binging the latest Bravo show when I’m not at work. I also teach pre-licensure nursing students on the side so you may also see me in the hospital with my up and coming nurses!

Hi everyone! My name is Isabelle Kinney and I have been a CRNAclub member since January, 2023 when I was in my third semester of my ADN. I am coming up on my one year in the CVICU as a new grad RN, and I am taking the CCRN in 3 weeks! I have taken ECMO, impella, IABP, and LVADs at my facility, which was a large learning curve at first but I’m finally settling in to my role as an RN. I will be applying to my top 5 schools this fall, and I’m excited for the possibility of landing an interview! I am retaking my gen chem course with a lab currently and will be attending my state’s spring anesthesia conference as well as the AANA annual fall conference this year. I am a part of my unit-based council, I precept, working on an EBP project for our floor, shadowed 24 hours, and have attended local open houses. I plan to take the CSC to bolster my resume for applications and I love that the new platforms offers forums on specific schools!

Hello, my name is Khari. I have been a nurse for 5 years. I worked as a surgical tech for 3 years. I graduated nursing school and worked as a circulator for 3 years. I have been a nurse in the MICU for 2 years. I got my CCRN last year.I have only applied to one program and didn’t get an interview, so I am currently retaking science courses to boost my gpa. I plan on taking graduate level courses to become more competitive on paper. I took the GRE a couple years ago and am trying to avoid retaking it. I plan on going to the AANA conference in Nashville this year to network and get a more in-depth view of the profession. My biggest obstacle is managing family, classes, and becoming a nurse leader at work. Any advice would be great appreciated. I have preceptor and charge nurse experience on my unit, but trying to find room for committees and projects on my unit.

    Hi Friends!
My name is Anna and I am from a small town just West of Indianapolis. I came out of nursing school not knowing what I wanted to do with my life. I started in the OR as a circulator/scrub RN and I was more interested in what was going on with anesthesia than my nursing role. From there my spark for becoming a CRNA ignited. I then transferred to a MICU where I have 3 years of ICU experience. From there I have been able to learn and grow as a nurse, furthering my interest in becoming a CRNA. Although I got waitlisted from my program and did NOT get in, I plan on reapplying. I am sharping up my essay and reworking my resume. Currently I work as a vascular access RN where I place ultrasound PIVs, midlines, PICCs, etc. This has been such a good experience to add to my resume. My colleague actually got in to my desired program this past year so it has been super helpful getting her insight on things.

My goals are to sharpen my essay and resume, along with my interview skills. Sachi and her team has been such a huge asset already so really sharpening those skills is what I am working on. I love that the CRNA club platform has revamped into being more user friendly and is able to potentially provide mentoring opportunities!

    Hi Anna,

So nice to meet you! I was also a circulator RN for the past 5 1/2 years, which is what also made me want to pursue CRNA.I recently transitioned to CVICU to get my experience to qualify for CRNA school. I admire your determination! Its nice to have you in this community.
