How do I know when I'm "ready" to apply to CRNA school?
This is great advice @Annie Hendrickson !!
When I first started to apply to CRNA school, I only had one year of ICU experience under my belt (with 4 years of ED before that!), but I KNEW that I wanted to go to CRNA school and nobody was going to change my mind about that! So I did everything I could to get myself ready for application season.…

In addition to my latest post in this forum, I wanted to also address the fact that your GPA is not the whole picture! Yes, CRNA school is extremely competitive, and having a great GPA increases your chances of landing an interview for sure, but it is not everything!
Because I didn’t have the most impressive GPA (even after taking grad…

Hello Jojo, Appreciate you connecting with me. I am Ola. I want to give my background and get feedback from you

What type of ICU is BEST for CRNA School?
This is always a hot topic when applying to CRNA school! In my experience, I don’t think programs strictly prefer one ICU background over another. I’m in a large cohort of over 100 students, and while many of us come from CVICU (myself included!), we also have classmates from PICU, Neuro ICU, MICU, SICU—even Flight Nurses with strong ICU…

How I Got CRNA School Interviews with a Low Science GPA
I didn’t have the strongest science GPA (just a 3.0!). Like many, I struggled transitioning from high school to college. My study habits didn’t click until nursing school, and by then, my GPA had already taken a hit!
When I applied to CRNA programs in 2019, I landed multiple interviews. I…

Hi JoJo, I think I follow you on ig! Thank you for your insight, it really gives me a lot of hope to be able to accomplish this massive goal. I am in my last semester of nursing school so I am beginning to prep for the courses I will be retaking once I graduate. How did you juggle all of these courses and pay for them? I think that is what I…
