Hi Anna-
I take my CCRN next week and have heard great things about the NK online resource! Would you be willing to share that with me? I can try and figure it out on my end! CSC is next for me as well- since we’re both CVICU, I’ve heard from a few people that it’s not nearly as difficult as CCRN because we are used to the hemodynamics and CHF tx, but that’s a personal opinion! I’ve also heard “Manual of Perioperative Cardiac Surgery” is a better resource compared to others, but I haven’t researched it much yet!

My name is Isabelle Kinney and I have been a CRNAclub member since January, 2023 when I was in my third semester of my ADN. I am coming up on my one year in the CVICU as a new grad RN, and I am taking the CCRN in 3 weeks! I have taken ECMO, impella, IABP, and LVADs at my facility, which was a large learning curve at first but I’m finally settling in to my role as an RN. I will be applying to my top 5 schools this fall, and I’m excited for the possibility of landing an interview! I am retaking my gen chem course with a lab currently and will be attending my state’s spring anesthesia conference as well as the AANA annual fall conference this year. I am a part of my unit-based council, I precept, working on an EBP project for our floor, shadowed 24 hours, and have attended local open houses. I plan to take the CSC to bolster my resume for applications and I love that the new platforms offers forums on specific schools!
