• What questions do you have about strengthening your application for a lower GPA? Drop them in this thread – there are LOTS of things we can do to prove you have the academic potential required. Such as:

      – Retaking classes or grad classes (most of you know this)
      – Taking the GRE even if not required (some programs will accept it and look at it, others won’t)
      – Get a master’s degree

      – Strategic school picking

      • Hi Sachi. I have a poor BSN GPA at 2.8. Science GPA is 3.4. I am trying to decide if I should take grad level pharm and patho or retake undergraduate sciences. I am also considering getting my master’s. Also, what master’s program would be best as far as FNP or education, etc? Thank you!

        • @Victor Martinez Oohh, I just left a comment about this in the Forum here: https://thecrnaclub.com/forums/discussion/low-nursing-gpa/

What classes did you get B’s in for your core science courses? I would consider graduate courses for sure.

Certainly a Master’s will help, however, it won’t get you in if you are missing the rest of the pieces of the puzzle: Leadership, high-acuity, involvement in professional orgs, and strategic school-picking. You can also consider taking the GRE if the programs you’re looking at will look at it/take it into consideration.
